Happy Birthday Jothua!

This is my adorable fiance. Today is his birthday and we are now the same age.

We celebrated his birthday at the Discover Science Center on Monday because there is a limited time star wars exhibit. I've never watched star wars before but I definitely do not like it. He had fun looking through the old movie props, reading the captions on every display, and having me follow and take pictures of him. We walked around the center and played some games together. Looking back at that day, we really embarassed ourselves during those games. We won the eco-shopper and smart waste games...and we were competing with elementary school kids.

Later on in the afternoon, we went to Felix's Continental Cafe in Orange. We ate some mighty yummy paella and were able to just talk to each other. I was really thankful to be able to have the whole day to spend together without the stress and business of wedding planning. Ever since our engagement, the knot has been telling us that we're behind so we have been scrambling around and planning everytime we saw each other.

Josh has been reminding me that we need to be Christ-centered in the way we plan for our wedding. It is especially easy for me to lose sight of my purpose in anything that I am involved in. I am thankful that Josh has been convicted of living a Gospel-centered life in which his thoughts, actions, and speech are motivated by Christ's perseverence and victory over temptation on earth, His sacrifice on the cross which took away our sins and now allows us to draw near to the Holy God, and His resurrection which gives us hope that we, too, will be brought to new life. I am also thankful that Josh constantly reminds me of this and prays for me knowing that I struggle with it.

Happy Birthday Josh! Please add the beginning link as a picture (mandatory) and post other pictures (optional) when you see this (:
